Well, Merlefest starts tomorrow. Hell yeah! It’s finally time to just sit around all day and listen to Doc Watson, Tony Rice, Bela Fleck, Grisman, Peter Rowan, Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, Jorma, Old Crow Medicine Show, Kruger Bros. and a whole lot more. Herb and Hanson will be writing off all the money they spend as “research expenses”. Not to mention that Tyler and Ralph, the talented half of Over Under Down Yonder, will be performing on the Cabin Stage on Thursday at 4:20. (Quiet hippies!) Next week they are sure to sound funny, as they try helplessly to imitate what they just witnessed in North Cack-o-lack-ee.
If anyone out there is goin’ to Merlefest, Herb and Hanson, along with their entourage, will be pickin’ and partyin’ at the Wilkesboro Fire Department Campground (also known as Sewerfest). Hope to see some familiar faces.
