… That’s there’s nothing goin’ on.
The summer is flying by faster than how fast Superman had to fly around the earth to make it spin backwards to save Lois Lane. But currently time is going forwards. Not backwards. So maybe he’s flying around the earth the correct way right now? And making regular time speed up? What I’m trying to say is, summer sure seems to be passing by in a rapid manner.
Ol’ Herb is still out walking through the woods. He has passed the official halfway point of the trail and is currently in Duncannon, PA. Incidentally, that was the last town I passed through in my attempt at walking the Trail in 2001. Hopefully Herb does not meet the same fate as me, with emergency room visits and wacko doctors and too much blood work and being told that he has spinal meningitis and had to get a spinal tap and such. That sucked. Be sure to drop him a line sometime in some manner and keep his spirits high. It can get lonely out there. And make sure to check his blog page out every once in a while. HE hasn’t been posting much. But when he does, it’s pretty interesting and entertaining.
As for me, my busted guitar is in the shop and getting repaired. The diagnosis was positive and it should be back in my hands good as new within the next couple of days. I miss it terribly. My voice is still feeling a bit wonky, but it does seem to be improving. At least that’s what I keep telling myself so I don’t have to quit drinking coffee and alcohol. (Caffeine and booze really dry out the ol’ vocal chords and are not good for my situation. But good god, it sure is hard to stop enjoying them.)
I’m gonna start filling up the schedule for this fall pretty soon. So keep your eyes peeled and get your ears ready. We are going to Acoustically Destroy you. We miss the road and miss all you guys. Can’t wait to get back at it.
Remember when my hair and beard were ridiculously long? I don’t. But I just came across this picture. So funny.
I just got a text from Herb this morning. He wants to meet at the Yuengling Brewery tomorrow. Sadly, I have to work, but I told him I could leave a little early and start driving. It a 3 and a half hour drive from J-town. We will see…
I’m glad to hear you found a place to fit your guitar! I’m able to take time off now. Let me know when I can come down and hang out.
