Dang! It’s getting warm out there. I hope everyone is seriously considering quitting their jobs and going outside. We’ve got ZERO shows this week, so I thought I’d take this opportunity to tell you all about some exciting things we’ve got coming up this spring and summer.

First off, in a couple of weeks we’ll be heading down to North Carolina to play a few shows. Both Herb and I are former thru-hikers of the Appalachian Trail (Herb accomplished it in ’13, I had an unsuccessful attempt in ’01) so we are gonna do some shows this year along the trail for the good folks out there this year. On April 16th we’ll be in Hot Springs, NC on the eve of their Trail Festival. Then we head a little south on the 17th to play in Franklin, NC. Both towns are amazing trail towns and we are very excited to give back. The king and queen and princess and prince of all trail towns is Damascus, VA though. And each year the host Trail Days, an annual reunion, celebration, madhouse of fun for past and present hikers. We are honored to be on the bill for this years festival. That one happens in mid-May.

On May 1st, we are super pumped to be playing at the Sleepy Creek Spring Dig near Berkeley Springs, WV. The ticket price for this event does not nearly reflect the amazing lineup those guys have put together. Jump over to their page and get some tickets right now.

We’ve got a couple of fun festival shows in June as well. We just this morning confirmed an appearance at Mountain Ride’s Camp Bluegrass on June 13th. This show is being put up by our good friend Eric Avey. He’s gonna put on a great show in Greencastle, PA and you all should seriously consider going. And then go. Do it. Later that month we’ll be playing a set at the incredible Shepherdstown Street Fest on June 27th. Nice.

That’s enough for you guys to plan on for now. And we will of course continue to play shows in the Mid-Atlantic region throughout the spring and summer. I’m also trying to get some trips in to the northeast and midwest later on this year. Keep checking the gigs page for all the fun we have in store for you all.
